These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to rights that cannot be excluded.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Firebell House Pty Ltd (ACN 696 044 283) ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of Halftime at halftime.coffee and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, joining a team, starting a workspace, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Sign-in may use Google, Microsoft, or a one-time code sent by email. You may not share credentials or allow another person to use your account.
2. Teams, companies, and admins
Halftime lets users create, join, and manage teams and company workspaces. Team and company administrators can invite and remove members, configure settings, connect notifications, manage billing, and view team activity.
If you create or administer a team or company workspace, you confirm that you have authority to do so for that organisation and to invite the people you add. You are responsible for keeping membership, roles, settings, and billing details accurate.
When you join a team, your name, profile image, scores, ranks, prompt responses, game participation, streaks, and relevant team activity may be visible to teammates, team administrators, and company administrators.
3. Plans, pilots, and billing
Halftime may offer free plans, free pilots, paid team plans, company plans, and custom enterprise arrangements. Plans may have limits, including member caps, team caps, game-library access, scheduling controls, analytics, integrations, support levels, or other features.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Taxes may be added where required.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we agree otherwise. You keep access to paid features until that period ends. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, contact us within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. Changes take effect from the next billing period unless we state otherwise.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play games or manipulate activity;
- attempt to manipulate scores, leaderboards, results, records, or billing;
- harass, abuse, impersonate, threaten, or harm other users;
- submit content that is illegal, abusive, discriminatory, or seriously inappropriate for a workplace product;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- share account credentials or let someone else use your account;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or clone substantial parts of the Service except where allowed by law;
- use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights;
We may remove content, disable features, suspend accounts, or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, the Service is being abused, or continued access creates risk for users, us, or the Service.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, such as prompt responses, game submissions, captions, profile details, live-session answers, support messages, and feedback.
By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service. For example, we may display your prompt response to your team or show your score in a leaderboard.
You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the rights needed to submit it. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, illegal, or inappropriate information.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, games, artwork, game mechanics, content, trade marks, and branding, is owned by Firebell House Pty Ltd or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service.
If you send us ideas, feedback, or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
7. Service changes and availability
We work to keep Halftime useful and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that every feature will remain available forever.
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. Where a material change affects paid customers, we will provide reasonable notice where practical.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that team activity may be visible inside your team or company workspace as described in that policy.
